PRACTICE WHAT WE HAVE LEARNED

Casting on, knitting, purling, binding off, reading instructions

Cast on 24 stitches

4 rows (garter stitch)
Knit each row

4 rows (stockinette stitch)
Knit a row (This is the right side of the piece)
Purl a row (This is the wrong side of the piece)
Repeat these two rows (knitting the knit stitches and purling the purl stitches)

4 rows (K2 P2 rib)
Knit two, purl two, repeat across
Repeat for three more rows (knitting the knit stitches and purling the purl stitches)

4 rows (stockinette stitch)
Knit a row (This is the right side of the piece)
Purl a row (This is the wrong side of the piece)
Repeat these two rows (knitting the knit stitches and purling the purl stitches) 


4 rows (K1 P1 rib)
K1, P1, repeat across
Repeat for three more rows (knitting the knit stitches and purling the purl stitches) 


4 rows (stockinette stitch)
Knit a row (This is the right side of the piece)
Purl a row (This is the wrong side of the piece)
Repeat these two rows (knitting the knit stitches and purling the purl stitches)


8 rows (seed stitch)
K1, P1, repeat across
Next seven rows: knit the purl stitches and purl the knit stitches

If you feel adventurous: 8 rows (basket weave stitch)
(a) K4, P4, rep across
Rep for three more rows (knitting the knit stitches and purling the purl stitches)
(b) P4, K4, rep across
Rep for three more rows (knitting the knit stitches and purling the purl stitches) 

Bind off
