Next on our agenda is to teach this cute fair isle holiday ornament at White Barn Sheep and Wool in New Paltz. I don't want to see you miss out on all the fun. Here's the complete description:
Make a Clever Holiday Ornament

Trim your tree, or help a loved one trim theirs, with sweet knitted balls. Make lots of them to spread the joy.
Trim your tree, or help a loved one trim theirs, with sweet knitted balls. Make lots of them to spread the joy.
Depending on your preference, we will make the ball using either double pointed needles, two circular needles or magic loop. We’ll have some instruction in those techniques, if you are not already familiar with them.
You will learn (or brush up on) the fair isle stitch and get experience following color charts. We will also explore the different ways of holding the yarn for fair isle knitting: (1) both colors in the right hand, (2) both colors in the left hand, and (3) one color in each hand.
Yarn will be provided. You will leave class with at least one finished ornament – plus patterns for additional ones.We will serve light refreshments.
