With worsted weight yarn and a size G or H hook, make a slip knot.
Chain stitch as long a chain as you need, concentrating on these techniques:
1. Keep the loops loose enough to insert the hook, but not so loose that you loose control.
2. Make stitches all the same size.
3. Master your tension so you can tighten up and let yarn go, as needed.
